This guitar has been meticulously enhanced to evoke the essence of a 1956 model, yet it boasts contemporary playability. We’ve incorporated an Alder body for its weight advantage over ash and a compound radius neck (7.25″ > 9.5″) fitted with 6105 frets. This design offers an authentic touch for chord playing on the early frets while also catering to bends and lead tones when you take the spotlight. Additionally, we’ve streamlined truss rod adjustments by introducing a 2-way truss rod accessible from the headstock, a feature crafted by the Fender Custom Shop. Aesthetically, we’ve applied a super-thin flash coat of nitrocellulose lacquer to mirror the iconic finishes of days gone by. This finish is gracefully aged, showcasing our team’s preferred ‘journeyman relic’ style.
The sound is powered by handwound ’57 custom shop pickups, paired with the Vintage Modified Strat #2 w/Tone-Saver Bleed-wiring featuring a 5-way switch
